Mini Monthly Round - Up | May

In Canada, we're lucky to experience the magic of seasons.

With May now here, our nation’s capital, both in the big and little world, is transforming into a rainbow of a million colourful tulips. The spring/summer season is only just beginning, and it’s sure to be buzzing.

Let’s jump right into the events of last month!

Our friends at Toronto Life returned for a visit to capture the many moving parts of our world, and our own Spencer Barclay embarked on a special mission, one that has taken our miniature Canada to new heights.

Also, while us giants are packing up our miniature world and preparing for the big move, the decision is nearing on what will be the perfect home for our miniature Canada attraction. We’re eager to shine some light on the location decision, so stay tuned!

As for the coming month, we’ll be welcoming our own fleet of Canada builders to the team and gearing up for what is sure to be a busy summer.

Little Inventors : Space Homes

As children we often scribbled ideas throughout the pages of our notebooks with hopes that they would come true, never thinking that someone could one day build your idea!

Miniature Maker, Spencer Barclay embarked on a mission with organization, Little Inventors, to bring to life 11-year-old William’s invention of Space Homes. Inspired by Canadian Astronaut David St. Jacques’ mission to space, William’s invention is called Space Homes - a home away from home and a place that would give him a sense of family while on mission in space.

Toronto Life

A picture is worth a thousand words, but a video allows you to really experience the magic of animation - the next best thing to seeing it in real life.  Last month, Toronto Life visited to film a segment for their new video series showcasing what makes our world such a moving place and explore the many forms of transportation available for our little Canadians.  And as we walked them through, the spotlight was on our new Flexcity streetcars!

The Big Move

You would think because we build in such tiny proportions, the amount of work required to pack and move our world might be small, but it’s actually a GIANT task.

As we inch closer to finalizing our location, the team has begun to take buildings down and pack them up tightly in preparation for the big move! We show tender loving care to each building, tree and little Canadian, so it takes some patient giants to take apart and pack in this scale. Check out some behind-the-scenes shots of the big move.
