Ottawa Build: Supreme Court of Canada – Birthplace of big changes
We’re happy to announce that our Supreme Court of Canada structure is complete. Established on April 8 in 1875, The Supreme Court of Canada is the highest court of Canada, and the final court of appeals in our justice system. The structure is home to some big players and the birthplace of some big legal decisions that make Canada such a great place to live today. One example - Egan v Canada stands as a landmark Supreme Court case, which established that discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation is prohibited under Section 15 of the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedom. Designed by Mark and constructed by Tyler, we’re happy to have such a significant structure from Canada’s history represented in our miniature Ottawa destination. We hope all our miniature citizens behave so they don’t find themselves here!
